In the first four weeks of our Lenten series Faith and Civic Life: From Ashes to Palms, we explored the foundations of Christian engagement in public life—God’s concern for the well-being of all, our call to civic participation, the role of constitutional government, and the gift of religious freedom. Tonight we turn to the practical question: how do people of faith live constructively within civic life? Scripture shows us that faithful communities do not withdraw from society or seek to dominate it, but work for justice, truth, and the common good alongside others.
